CPYP STRATEGIC PLAN

In March 2006, CPYP contracted with Kate Welty to develop a strategic plan, as part of CPYPís succession strategy. As part of the process, CPYP solicited input from staff, participating counties, partners, and other stakeholders. All staff and twelve stakeholders were interviewed at the beginning of the strategic planning process to gauge their perspectives on the important issues to be considered in planning. In addition, questionnaires were distributed to all participating counties. This material was presented and discussed at a one-day retreat for staff and key stakeholders in August, 2006. Following the retreat, CPYP staff held follow-up meetings with Kate Welty to finalize the plan. In December 2006, Founding Director Pat Reynolds-Harris shared the current (nearly final) version of the plan with the Task Force and asked for feedback. Based on feedback from the Task Force, and additional comments from staff members, the plan was finalized in April, 2007. CPYP staff will continue to review progress on the plan at their regular staff meetings.
